About Me

I am passionate about Person-Centred Counselling and believe that the core principles of acceptance, respect and empathy offered in this type of talking therapy can enable clients to move forward. My job is to respect that you, the client, are the expert in your own life and so it is you who knows what you need. I aim to offer you a safe space in which you can explore this at your own pace and where I will not form opinions or tell you what to do.

I realise it can be daunting to take the first step into counselling. Talking to a stranger about your innermost feelings can feel terrifying. I want you to know that although many of my clients initially felt the same way, they are now glad that they overcame that first hurdle.

No doubt you will have questions about the process of counselling too. Please have a look at my FAQs page here to learn more.

Finally, if you click on "Services" below, you will see information about my experience and the ways in which I deliver counselling. I believe especially in the healing power of nature and the benefits to mental health of being outside and walking so if you don't like the thought of sitting inside staring at your counsellor, I also offer walk and talk counselling.
